Leaving Las Vegas

It has been a busy and interesting Christmas Break. Instead of the usual downtime I have been working at The Crossing and helped with the Christmas Services and get the new Jesus in HD series off the ground. With all of that I have been fitting in appointment after appointment so I could be ready to leave the country for four months. In all of that, I did not forget to have a little fun :)

This past weekend my friends Stephen, Nicole & Amanda came to visit me. Stephen was here for a few days and Amanda and Nicole made a 24 hour trip from Phoenix. It was a great trip full of many fun adventures. It was so good to see my friends again and reconnect with them. I am excited because Amanda and Nicole are coming to South Africa with me which is completely a God thing in itself. It is hard because Stephen will be staying at APU this next semester, so it was good to have some quality time before I left.

It is a weird feeling to know that I am leaving the country to go on a crazy adventure for the next four months. Yesterday was my last Sunday at The Crossing until May 10th (Mother’s Day). Between now and then my life is going to be turned upside down and the world I know will be shattered. I am praying my eyes will be opened to the rest of the world. Here I stand knowing that in the next 9 days there will be lots of packing and emotional goodbyes, but I need to trust God as I so easily forget to do during this time. The adventure has not begun yet and I already have doubts. With all that said I am moving forward with full force because it is coming, trusting that God will lead me through this time.
